The 94th Annual Farm Agents Summer Meeting & Golf Outing is the fun summer event for those in the Illinois crop, farm & ag industry to come together for networking, education, golf, and an industry specific tradeshow. This event draws over 100 agents from throughout Illinois, to have fun with peers, network, obtain three hours of IL CE credit, and participate in the FAC Annual Meeting.
The Golf Outing will be held at Prairie Vista Golf Course, 502 W. Hamilton Rd., Bloomington, IL. The golf outing is limited to agents/companies registered for the Summer Meeting. Golf registration is in addition to the Summer Meeting registration. Golf format will be a scramble, with a shotgun start at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. Forms must be received by May 29 so we may plan for your group. If you do not have a foursome, you will be assigned one. Please contact the Big I Illinois if you have any questions.
This year we are excited to welcome, the “SharkFarmer” Rob Sharkey for our educational speaker on Friday morning. You may have seen or heard him on Sirius XM, PBS, Acres TV, or his hit show “SharkFarmer TV” which has 8 seasons and counting. Rob will be presenting on “Sharks Don’t Swim Backwards” sharing his story of grit and determination…coming back from the hog market crash, farming, and how the SharkFarmer was born. The SharkFarmer’s compelling message revolves around never giving up on your dreams, embracing challenges and strategically pivoting in the face of adversity. He’ll share his insight on navigating uncharted waters, challenging yourself with new roles, and carving a path to success in the ever-evolving landscape of agriculture and insurance. Be inspired to overcome obstacles, redefine your goals, never let fear hold you back, and embrace conversation with the next generation while not squishing their dreams as they find their place back on the family farm. This session is worth three hours of IL CE (pending approval).
